This is Rusty Dobbs of Ghostown Woodworks.
Woodworking is in his blood. His grandfather was a finish carpenter who took pride in the fact that he could crosscut a board faster than any power saws of his day.
While living in Lake Tahoe, Rusty discovered his own love of woodworking, and set up a small shop while selling snowboards on the side to help make ends meet.
15 years later, Rusty has built everything from restaurants and travel trailers, to kitchens and retail stores.
If you’ve been to any of the best restaurants in the Bay Area, odds are you’ve probably sat on one of Rusty’s handmade bar stools or benches.
His feedback was crucial in shaping our Cast Iron Pants into what they are today.
We use heavy duty bar tack stitching at stress points on our pants instead of rivets to make sure high end builders like Rusty don’t accidentally scratch their work.
After years working on a decommissioned naval air base in Alameda, Rusty moved his shop to Rough and Ready, CA (yes, that’s actually the name of the town)
Our Cast Iron Pants are built from the ground up to help guys like Rusty get the job done right.
